We believe that God is three in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The trinity is in all parts equal and God (1 John 5:7). God is omniscient, omnipotent, and is not limited to our sense of time.

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The consequence we deserve due to our rebellion against God is death (Romans 6:23). But God demonstrated his love for us in that while we were sinners, he died on the cross to take the death that we deserve so that we could live forever in right relationship with God (Romans 5:8). If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in his resurrection from the dead, we shall be saved (Romans 10:9). The key to salvation is the Lordship of Jesus in our lives. This is not to say that our work saves us, but that His Lordship will change us from the inside out (see Grace alone). If Jesus is Lord of our life, we can have assurance of our salvation (Romans 10:13).

We believe that salvation comes from grace alone through faith in the saving work of Jesus on the cross. The process of sanctification occurs after salvation through the working of the Holy Spirit on our hearts.

We believe the 66 books of the Bible are divinely inspired and an authoritative source of truth. All that we aim to teach is carefully checked against scripture. Any additional source used to teach theology (including any we create as part of Abiding Kids) must be tested against the Bible before using to inform our doctrine and understanding of God and His gospel.
